Eriogonum wrightii var. subscaposum

Plants herbs, loosely matted, 0.5–2.5 (3) dm tall, 1–3 (5) dm across; aerial flowering stems tomentose or glabrous; leaves with petiole bases not forming distinct ring around stem, the blades oblanceolate to elliptic, 0.5–1 (1.2) cm long, 0.2–0.4 (0.5) cm wide; inflorescences virgate or cymose, the branches dichotomous, mostly slender; involucres 1.5–4 mm long; flowers 2–3 mm long, the perianth white to pink; achenes 2–2.5 mm long. 2n = 34.
